As you guessed by the title of this lovely blog, I have done a recent clean up and a battle round of the products that have sat in my cabinets and drawers. A few months ago, I looked over my beauty products and noticed I had some that had not been used in a while. I decided I wanted to change up my routine with some new techniques and power play loving time. So, the search went on sifting through the wondrous world of products. Low and behold I found some great items, but to my dismay some were out of date, had an awful odor, begin separating, or had lost pigmentation.
What is a girl to do when your in need of a super duper, no fuss perfecting routine?? You realize you gotta clean and do some dumping and the time is now! Being a saver of many dollars, I almost cried when I saw the $$$ going into the trash. For once I can say that yes, that dollar made me holler !! Ha ha! I truly did not do a good job with my inventory and did not try some that I could have benefited from.
Realizing this, I cleaned every crook and cranny. I was literally left with very little. The best thing to do at that point was to go shopping--YAY one of my favorite things to do! I was on a mission, so I bought some organizers to better equip me with future success. Buying these organizer things was the best decision ever! I bought several with drawers to hold my very soon yet to come new makeup collection and others with a larger drawer set to hold other things. I found them at my local Walmart.
Doing this clean up really helped to once again re-organize and put the future beauty products at my finger tips. Several weeks have gone by now and I am proud and amazed at how well I am doing using my newly purchased items. I will never let another product go to waste again. I have also decided to donate other items that could still be used and are in date to my local women's shelter. Since I am a couponer at heart, I have done this before with donating food items. I just think that other women would probably enjoy these beauty items and otherwise would probably not have access to them or the funds to purchase them. So why not? At least it will help me to keep away from cluttering and give these things a home to women who will feel beautiful and good that someone thought about them.
I love to help others and give back to my community when I can. So it is a win win situation all the way around. I hope you found this blog helpful in the way of not forgetting about the many things we may store or hold onto
at times. There is a reason why we have expiration dates and sometimes we may need to re-check on them. We get so busy with life, being a parent, working, and having a schedule that it is hard to remember everything!
I just now know that if I place things in a different way and near my path of crossing, I will see and use them! Now I can love them and never leave them again!!
Much love and hugs,
JOY
